This is a non chronologic video collage of my animations from 2008 to 2017. I am the author of all animations and of some of the designs. (Exceptions are mentioned in the text embedded in the video.) For more videos, check my Neulaub vimeo account.
I studied animation at the Animation School Hamburg. I graduated in 2009 with the short film “Be Nice”, which we produced in a group of six. It has been shown on many international festivals. (If you are interested, check out our Festival Blog.)
Ever since, I’ve been working partly as an illustrator for print and internet (See a project that I illustrated here), and for the most part I work as a 2D animator for film and TV. From 2011 to 2012, I joined the feature production “The Moonman” in Berlin, on a book by Tomi Ungerer. In 2012 and 2013 I refined my skills when I was responsible for the animation of two main characters in an animated short for “Siebenstein”, commissioned by German TV station ZDF. (Tibiaq ,2014)
Clients include ZDF, Schesch Productions, Pro7, Arte, Oetinger Publishing house, the German Union and particularly, a number of artistic short film makers in Berlin.
Check out my vector animation in these videos I produced in 2017 together with my friend Rike Rothe for the German Union, on the gender gap issue.
Since 2016, I’ve been collecting more experience as a stop-motion animator on Katrin Rothe’s animated documentary “The real October”, as well as working on a music video for the Berlin based band Laing.
